The Abbot of Wat Na Khuean Presents a Buddha Pavilion for the Enshrinement of a Buddha Image at Wat Chung Tai Chan, Bangkok

At 3:00 PM, Venerable Phra Siddhivajrabandit, Vice Rector for International Affairs, acting on behalf of Venerable Phra Phromwachirathirachan, Rector of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University (MCU), paid an official visit to Wat Chung Tai Chan, Bangkok, to pay a courtesy visit to Venerable Dharma Master Jian-Zu, Deputy Abbot of Wat Chung Tai Chan, together with the monastic community and the temple’s executive committee.
The visit was warmly received by Venerable Dharma Master Jian-Zu and the monastic community of Wat Chung Tai Chan, who extended formal hospitality.
On this occasion, the Vice Rector for International Affairs held a meeting with the monastic community of Wat Chung Tai Chan to discuss the following matters:
An official visit by the Rector and Vice Rectors of MCU to Chung Tai Chan Monastery, Taichung, Republic of China (Taiwan), during 7–10 April 2569 (2026), upon the invitation of Venerable Dharma Master Jian-Ying, Abbot of Chung Tai Chan Monastery.
The dispatch of MCU personnel to undertake Chinese language and professional development studies at National Taiwan University for a period of four months, with scholarships sponsored by Chung Tai Chan Monastery, during August–November 2569 (2026).
An official goodwill mission to strengthen relations with the Siam Nikaya monastic community in Sri Lanka by the Vice Rector for International Affairs of MCU and the monastic delegation of Wat Chung Tai Chan, during 2–4 February 2569 (2026).
Courtesy visits to the Most Venerable Mahanayakas of the Siam Nikaya, both the Malwatta and Asgiriya Chapters, to further foster friendly relations.
A courtesy visit by the Vice Rector for International Affairs of MCU to a former Prime Minister of Sri Lanka in Colombo.
In addition, the Vice Rector for International Affairs and the monastic community of Wat Chung Tai Chan jointly discussed and planned the schedule for future religious missions and goodwill visits involving the Rector and Vice Rectors of MCU in cooperation with Wat Chung Tai Chan.
Later, at 4:00 PM, Venerable Phra Khru Sripanyachotikoon, Abbot of Wat Na Khuean, formally presented a Buddha pavilion for the enshrinement of a Buddha image to the monastic community of Wat Chung Tai Chan.
Subsequently, the monastic community of Wat Chung Tai Chan offered kappeyabandha funds in the amount of 20,000 baht (twenty thousand baht only) to support the purchase of land for the expansion of Wat Na Khuean. The Abbot of Wat Na Khuean received the offering on behalf of the monastic community and the temple’s executive committee.
On this occasion, Venerable Dharma Master Jian-Jun presented premium-quality tea to Venerable Phra Maha Wiset Kantadhammo, Abbot of Wat Mabkha, Ban Bueng District, Chonburi Province.
The Vice Rector for International Affairs expressed sincere appreciation to the Deputy Abbot and the monastic community of Wat Chung Tai Chan. This was followed by the chanting of Buddhist prayers, after which the delegation took leave.
